Just went Alexis Sanchez’s move to Manchester United seemed to be done and dusted there looks to be another twist to the plot.

Manchester City have finally backed out of the deal to sign the forward after the club have decided that they will now bow down to Arsenal’s high transfer demands.

With City pulling out of the transfer, Manchester United is the most likely destination for the Chilean International and the deal was expected to be wrapped up by Monday.

Monday has come and gone but the transfer is still not complete.

Many pundits are now laiming that the deal will be announced by the end of this week and the only this blocking the move is Arsenal’s hunt for a replacement.

But according to a report in the Manchester Evening News, Chelsea are also interested in signing Alexis Sanchez and will try and make a late dive into the transfer.

Conte has been unhappy with how his club have handled the transfer business during the summer and the management is keen to rectify that mistake this window. The club have already signed Ross Barkley from Everton and are now planning a very late bid for Alexis Sanchez.

Even though Manchester United are still the favourites to land the forward but the Blues are looking to plan a coup.
