Chelsea playmaker Eden Hazard will make his way to Real Madrid but maybe not during the summer transfer window.
The Los Blancos have reportedly made the Belgian International their biggest transfer target for the summer after having failed to sign him up last year. But according to pundit Steve Nicol, the transfer might not take place as planned.
The ESPN pundit has claimed that Chelsea have a lot on their plate right now and the last thing they would want to do is let one of their biggest players leave.
“You’d have to think it’s going to happen at some stage,” Nicol told ESPN FC.
“I don’t see it happening in the summer.
“There’s so much going on at Chelsea and the one thing they don’t want to do is get rid of their best players and that would be Hazard for me.
“That’s a miss for me.”
Madrid were close to signing Hazard last summer but the deal had to be scrapped after the Belgian suffered an ankle injury on international duty. But with the La Liga outfit set to release players like Ronaldo and Gareth Bale this summer, it is a bit hard to digest the fact that Zidane would want to wait for one whole season before he gets his main transfer target.
