Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea moved to England from Atletico Madrid back in 2011 and since then the Spaniard has turned himself into one of the best No 1’s in the world.

But over the past couple of seasons, De Gea has been tipped with a move back to Spain in order to join Real Madrid.

Now though the Spanish No 1 has made a startling revelation about footballing life in Spain.

De Gea said: “In England, I have a great affection and respect that I do not notice so much here,

“But every time I come to the national team I feel fondness inside, and it is the most important thing.”

De Gea went pretty close to joining Real Madrid a couple of seasons back but that deal collapsed during the final few minutes on the deadline day.

Since then the Spaniard has put his focus back to playing for Manchester United and is now one of the most prized possessions on Jose Mourinho’s squad.

Recent reports though have claimed that Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane has once again reignited his hopes of bringing David De Gea back to Spain and the Los Blancos are planning to move for him during the summer transfer window.

In the past, the United shot-stopper hasn’t publicly made any comments about a move back to his homeland. But now this statement clearly states that even if Real Madrid come up with a ginormous offer, David De Gea will think twice before heading back.

David De Gea’s current contract with Manchester United runs out in 2019 with an option to extend it for another year. Jose Mourinho though feels that his goalkeeper will put pen on paper to a new deal during the summer.
