Fulham youngster Ryan Sessegnon has been courted by a series of top European clubs during the past few months but it seems that Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur have broken out of the lot and are now favourites to land the youngster.

Jose Mourinho’s primary aim this summer will be to bring in a new left back as Luke Shaw is more or less certain to leave Old Trafford. And in such a scenario, many reports are claiming that the Red Devils will go all out for the Fulham defender.

Spurs too are planning to bring in a new left-back amidst their ranks and Ryan Sessegnon seems to be a perfect fit.

Now though the 17-year-old has dropped a subtle hint as to which club he might join during the summer transfer window.

While talking about his idols, Sessegnon claimed that he has been following Manchester United left-back Luke Shaw for a long time.

Sessegnon said: “I’ve always been an attacking left-back so I really admired Luke Shaw, particularly when he was at Southampton,”

“He’s got a lot of attacking qualities and creates chances, which is something I like to do myself. His ability to get up and down the pitch is incredible.”

Now if Sessegnon comments are to be believed then surely he would have seen the way Jose Mourinho has been handling Luke Shaw.
