Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is expected to bring in a host of new signings to the club during the summer transfer window and according to le10sport one of them might be AS Monaco full-back Djibril Sidibe.

The Red Devils already have a series of defenders at their disposal but it reports are to believed then most of them will be sold off at the end of the season in order to make way for a new crop of players.

As per le10sport, Jose Mourinho hugely admires Djibril Sidibe and has already set the ball rolling to bring the 25-year-old to Old Trafford.

Who is Djibril Sidibe?

Sidibe is a French International who joined AS Monaco from Lille back in 2016 and since then the full-back has made 72 appearances for the Ligue 1 outfit.

The 25-year-old has the capability of playing both as a left-back as well as a right-back and can occasionally play in the midfield too.

Sidibe is known to be great crosser of the ball and this season also the full-back has made 6 assists in the Ligue 1 – scoring 2 goals as well.

Jose Mourinho is clearly drawn by the versatility of the player and the United boss feels that Djibril Sidibe will be the perfect replacement for Luke Shaw.

According to TransferMarkt, Sidibe is valued at £20.70 million but Monaco will surely charge a lot more for his services given the fact that his contract with the club runs until 2022.

Currently Ashley Young is Jose Mourinho’s first choice left-back and his other option – Luke Shaw is sure to leave the club at the end of the season. And given the fact that Young is a makeshift full-back, Mourinho wants a seasoned pro for that position.
