Manchester United’s visit to the King Power Stadium ended in a 2-2 draw but in reality, Jose Mourinho’s men should have won the game with atleast a 4 goal difference.

The Red Devils missed a host of opportunities to increase their advantage with the scoreline at 2-1 and these missed chances came back to haunt them eventually as the Foxes scored an equaliser during the dying minutes of the game. Man United next host Burnley at home on Boxing Day and Jose Mourinho will be hoping that his team can pick up all three points – even if that means that they have to play that boring brand of football.

MANCHESTER UNITED TEAM NEWS:

Mourinho’s biggest headache will the fact that he will have to rearrange his defensive line once again as Chris Smalling is sure to miss the game after picking up a groin injury during the weekend’s fixture. Eric Bailly remains sidelined with a long-term injury along with Antonio Valencia who is recovering from a hamstring injury. This effectively means that Victor Lindelof will once again have to start at right back, just how he did in the Leicester game. Marcos Rojo will play in central defence alongside Phil Jones.

The midfield will remain the same with both Matic and Pogba while Juan Mata is expected to retain his place in the starting line up after scoring both of United’s goal during the weekend. Jesse Lingard too will start alongside Marcus Rashford while Romelu Lukaku will be the man up front.

MANCHESTER UNITED’S PREDICTED LINE-UP:

Goalkeeper: De Gea

Defence: Lindelof, Rojo, Jones, Young

Midfield: Matic, Pogba, Lingard

Attack: Rashford, Mata, Lukaku
