Manchester City have been in trailblazing form during the current season and West Ham United will be the next team in line who will have to try and stop the juggernaut.

City are sitting pretty on the top of the league table and this Saturday they travel to the London stadium in order to take on West Ham United who are currently trying really hard to break into the top half of the table.

In a normal day, we wouldn’t give West Ham too much off a chance but the Hammers are currently managed by one Manuel Pellegrini who might know a thing or two about the blue half of Manchester.

And the London club might just have been given a pretty solid boost as Manchester City look set to miss Bernardo Silva with an injury.

Silva has been with the Portugal squad during the international break but the Portuguese Football Federation (FPF) have made it clear that the midfielder will not play in the Nations League finale against Poland on Tuesday.

The Portuguese Football Federation (FPF) issued a statement saying: “Following medical and diagnostic tests performed by the FPF Health and Performance Unit, player Bernardo Silva was considered unavailable for the meeting against Poland, to be held this Tuesday in Guimarães.”

Apart from missing Tuesday’s game, Bernardo Silva is also likely to miss Man City’s trip to London during the weekend.

And this could be a bit of a problem for Pep Guardiola given Kevin De Bruyne is also sidelined with an injury.

Kevin De Bruyne has been recovering from a knee ligament damage and is not expected to return before the first week of December.

The absence of Bernardo Silva should not pose any big challenge for Pep Guardiola but we might see a change of formation from the Manchester City manager.
