Southampton take on Leeds United this weekend and the Saints will be hoping to get back to winning ways after that thrashing at the hands of Tottenham Hotspur.
While Leeds United beat Wolves 2-1, Saints suffered a 4-1 loss at the hands of Conte’s men. In gameweek two, Hasenhuttl will want a proper reaction from his players, more so because this one will be a much more even contest.
After the loss to Spurs, Southampton have now lost their last five matches in the Premier League plus they have also conceded at least two goals in their last seven league matches.
In their last four outings, the Saints have managed to beat Leeds United only once(W-1, D-2, L-1).
Southampton vs Leeds United: Early team news
Southampton
The Saints went into the Tottenham game with three absentees and these players could miss gameweek two as well.
Livramento and Theo Walcott are both ruled out. Walcott is expected to come back to training later this month while Livramento will only return in December.
Nathan Tella returned to training last week but was not fit for the Spurs game so hopefully, he is available for the Southampton vs Leeds United game.
James Ward-Prowse has now been directly involved in 8 goals against Tottenham in the Premier League.
