The title of this article is likely to send shivers down the spines of Chelsea fans all over the world. Such is the love for their current boss that many from the fanbase have gone on to say he is even better than the club’s all-time favourite, the Special One – Jose Mourinho.
The thought is heart-wrenching and while the prospect of the Italian leaving is very low despite him having said he wants to return to Italy in the future, it is our duty to contemplate the potential candidates to fill up his shoes in the eventuality that he leaves.
1) Thomas Tuchel
The former Borussia Dortmund manager is out of a job since being sacked at Signal Iduna Park and is looking for the right job. He was highly linked with Chelsea towards the end of the summer to replace a disgruntled Antonio Conte who voiced his opinion about a dismal transfer window. If he does not take up the Bayern job by then he could be signed by the Blues and it would represent a very astute signing.
