Arsenal, Tottenham and Leicester City have now been joined by Burnley in the race to sign Liverpool midfielder Adam Lallana – as per The Daily Mirror.

The attacking midfielder is out of contract at Anfield in the summer but clearly he has no shortage of takers since unlike other soon-to-be free agents, Lallana has not been warming the benches this season, having already played in 15 Premier League matches so far

The report claims: “Burnley are the latest club to join the race for Liverpool’s Adam Lallana as Sean Dyche bids to convince the midfielder to make the move to Turf Moor.

“Lallana will be one of a number of Premier League players to sign extensions to their contracts in the coming weeks as his current deal with the Reds will run out on June 30.

“However he will stay on until the end of the campaign in order to almost certainly pick up a Premier League winners’ medal, as the Reds stand just two wins away from lifting a first top-flight league title in 30 years.”

Which club is Adam Lallana is likely to join?

Some rumours claim, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp wants to hold onto the 32-year-old and there’s still a chance the midfielder might choose to stay back at Anfield for the next season.

But most of the big publications feel the former Saints man is not too keen to stay around and wants to join a new club in the summer.

While the likes of Arsenal, Spurs and now Burnley all stand a big chance in signing him but we feel, it’s Leicester City who have the upper hand in this deal.

Firstly, the Foxes will be able to offer Champions League football to Adam Lallana which the other suitors cannot guarantee at this point in time.

The second reason why Lallana is likely to choose Leicester over clubs like Arsenal and Spurs in because of Brendan Rodgers. It was Rodgers who signed the midfielder for Liverpool in 2014 and it seems like the player is keen to reunite with his former manager next season.

The 32-year-old is out of contract at Liverpool this summer but the club do have the option to extend the deal for a further year.
