Man United midfielder Ander Herrera will be leaving the club on a free transfer this summer and now Solskjaer is looking for a replacement.

Ander Herrera and the club failed to reach an agreement over a new deal which eventually forced the club to withdraw the offer from the table.

And now that the Spaniard will be moving out on a free transfer, United will have to pay money out of their own pockets in order to bring in a replacement.

This decision from the club has been met with some serious negative criticism with most pundits claiming that Man United will be losing unnecessary money during a rebuilding phase.

But the club could eventually end up bringing in someone on a free transfer as well.

If reports are to be believed then the Old Trafford outfit are keeping tabs on PSG’s Adrien Rabiot whose relationship with the French club has turned sour.

Adrien Rabiot is a product of the PSG academy but the midfielder has not played for the club since December after falling out with Tomas Tuchel and the club’s owners.

He was even banned from the club’s training ground earlier this year and with his contract ending in the summer, it is more or less certain that Adrien Rabiot will be on his way out.

Barcelona are said to be the frontrunners in signing him this transfer window but some experts claim that the Catalans might cool off their interests since they have acquired Frenkie de Jong from Ajax.

This gives Man United a lot of hope in signing Adrien Rabiot but apart from them, clubs like Real Madrid and Arsenal are also in the hunt.

And the fact that Solskjaer cannot offer Adrien Rabiot Champions League football might end up being a big stumbling block in the transfer.
