This year’s Europa League final will be played at the Baku Olympic Stadium in Azerbaijan and it will be an all-English affair.

Two London clubs, Arsenal and Chelsea will go head-to-head with two very different agendas.

While the Blues will be looking to pick up a silverware by winning the Europa League, Arsenal, on the other hand, need to win this tournament in order to get back into the Champions League next season.

And due to this very fact, many people are expecting both the teams to be extra cautious which might lead to a very cagey and slow 90 minutes.

But according to Chelsea forward Pedro, the final could be a very open encounter despite what many people are saying.

Here’s why:

“Maybe it will be open because Arsenal press really high, play good football and also for us it is the same ideas and style. I think it will be an open game,” Pedro said.

“I think there is the same motivation for both [teams],

“For them, it is a good opportunity to get to the Champions League, but we want to win the title.

“It is good for English teams. It is very good because every week you see how hard, difficult and competitive the league is.

“The message is clear that the Premier League is the strongest and most competitive league at the moment, that’s for sure.

”The most important thing is to prepare the game during the week so when we go to Baku we will be ready, focus on the game and win the title.

“The most important thing for us is that he is focused on the final and for us that is good.”
