Man United take on Wolves in the 3rd round of the FA Cup on Saturday and it looks like both Anthony Martial and Jesse Lingard have been ruled out of the game.
The duo started the 2-0 loss against Arsenal in midweek and they had even reported for training on Friday.
But both the players were sent home after just 15 minutes of their arrival with initial reports claiming that both Lingard and Anthony Martial have both fallen sick.
And while providing the team news for Man United, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has hinted that a few of his players are currently under the weather and could be in line to miss the clash against Wolves at Molineux.
“There’s a little bit of illness in the camp, but that’s normal through this time of year, so we just have to find out tomorrow who’s waking up okay,” Ole told the club’s official website.
“Apart from that, players are coming back from injuries. Hopefully, we can see Axel soon. Tim and Eric are going to play Reserves games soon, hopefully.
“Diogo’s back obviously, Marcos Rojo hopefully soon back, so we’re getting there.
“There will be some changes. We need to look after the players. We’ve had a couple of youngsters doing well. Jimmy, Dylan but they’ve been injured and ill so they’ve lost quite a bit of football lately.
“They’re just getting back and I think we’ll see Jimmy on Monday in the Reserves.”
While Jesse Lingard was expected to remain on the bench this weekend but the absence of Anthony Martial could be a big setback for the Man United manager since the Frenchman has been in fine touch during the past couple of weeks.
If the forward cannot be fit for Saturday’s match then hopefully Mason Greenwood would be given the chance to lead the line at Molineux.
