Antonio Conte has asked the Chelsea board to buckle up and make a couple of signings during the January transfer window.

The Italian has been constantly furious with the management because of a catastrophic summer transfer window which is clearly evident in their title defence this season. And now he has warned his board that if the club does not make a couple of signings during the next month then Chelsea campaign could become even worse.

According to the Daily Mirror, Conte has told the Stamford Bridge chiefs that he wants three attacking players to be brought in during January. And it seems that the manager has shortlisted Leon Bailey, Ross Barkley and Thomas Lemar.

Out of these three players, Ross Barkley will most definitely be the easiest to grab as Everton manager Sam Allardyce has already hinted that the midfielder is on his way out of the club.

Bayer Leverkusen’s Leon Bailey will be a tough nut to crack especially with the likes of Arsenal and Liverpool also interested in the Jamaican. But undoubtedly Thomas Lemar will be the most difficult transfer target amongst the three as the Monaco Board has put it out on record that they have no intentions of seller one of their stars players. The Ligue 1 outfit have already lost a string of star players to rival clubs this summer and Lemar is in one of the few star players left in the first team and so there is no way that Monaco will let him leave – not in January atleast.
