Manchester United were held to a 0-0 draw by Valencia in the Champions League on Tuesday and with that, the pressure on Jose Mourinho has increased once again.
United looked toothless during the game as they failed to break down Valencia – team which showed no fear while playing at Old Trafford.
Alexis Sanchez returned back to the team but the Chilean had yet another poor display and was eventually substituted late in the second half.
After the match, the fans inside the stadium were visibly displeased with their team’s performance as some boos rang around Old Trafford.
But the big talking point of the match came after the final whistle when captain Antonio Valencia caused a stir on social media.
Antonio Valencia liked a post on Instagram which strongly criticized Jose Mourinho and his tactics at the club.
Immediately there was a buzz around the media that Antonio Valencia has fallen out with the manager and wants him sacked.
But the right-back was swift to come out with a response explaining why he chose to like the picture.
Valencia wrote: “Yesterday, I liked a post on Instagram without reading the text that accompanied the picture. These are not my views and I apologise for this. I am fully supportive of the manager and my teammates. We are all giving our everything to improve the results.”

A number of people have raised doubts about the apology too, claiming Antonio Valencia purposely liked the picture simply because Instagram provides a translation to his native language.
Jose Mourinho recently had a fall out with Paul Pogba after which he chose to publicly criticize Alexis Sanchez.
Now Antonio Valencia too reportedly wants Jose Mourinho sacked.
