Declan Rice has been the subject of debate for quite a few weeks and it seems that the West Ham United youngster has finally made up his mind,

Rice played three games for the Republic of Ireland but all of them were friendlies meaning he is still eligible to play for the England national team.

And the buzz around the footballing circuit was that Declan Rice could swift his national loyalties.




Last week Shay Given had accused the England manager and his staff of getting into the head of the youngster and now reports are coming out of England that the midfielder has made up his mind.




Gareth Southgate’s No.2 Steve Holland was present during the West Ham vs Man United game in which Declan Rice played a very influential role and now the England manager is confident that the youngster will play for the Three Lions.



England are currently fast forwarding the process of making Declan Rice an England player and there is every chance the youngster could feature in Gareth Southgate’s next side which is set to be announced next Thursday.




This report does go on to prove Shay Given was right about the whole tapping up situation but the bottom line is – the Three Lions have done nothing wrong.

This though is not the only fiasco that Declan Rice is involved in as his club, West Ham United are desperately trying to tie him down to a new contract.




The Hammers have made an offer which has been swiftly turned down by the player’s representatives who are holding out for a better wage.




While a number of clubs are waiting in the wings to sign Declan Rice but West Ham manager Manuel Pellegrini is pretty confident the youngster will put pen on paper to a new deal at the club.
