Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga refused to be substituted during the Blues’ Carabao Cup final vs Manchester City.
The keeper went down with cramps twice during the injury-time and with penalties looming large, Sarri wanted to replace Kepa Arribzabalaga with Willy Caballero but that eventually did not happen.
The manager was fuming on the touchline as Kepa Arrizabalaga kept waving his hands with the indication that he wanted to stay put.
Sarri though played down the whole incident after the match claiming that it was a misunderstanding between him and the keeper.
While Ruud Gullit has claimed that his soft voice from the manager was only to keep the media at bay and that tensions are still flaring between the pair.
While some pundits wanted the manager to punish Kepa Arrizabalaga by preventing to play in the first team others wanted the management to step in.
The Chelsea management are supposed to deal with this incident in a very stern manner and there is also a possibility that Kepa could be slapped with a ban.
But now reports are suggesting that the Blues manager are not going to take any action.
Yes, as weird as it may sound but Chelsea have decided not to fine or ban Kepa Arrizabalaga.
As per the news, Sarri and the keeper want to deal with the situation maturely and want to move on without making too much fuss about it.
Hence the management have decided that they will not be intervening and let Kepa Arrizabalaga sort it out with the boss.
