Arsenal are out in the market looking for a centre-back and they seem to be interested in signing 24-year-old Thilo Kehrer from PSG during the summer.
Thilo Kehrer joined PSG from Schalke in the summer of 2018 and over the past two seasons he has seen his importance steadily rise in the first-team squad in Paris.
This season, the centre-back has played in 23 Ligue 1 games for PSG out of which 15 have been starts. He is also known for his versatility since apart form playing in central defence Kehrer can also operate as a right full-back.
The report claims: “Arsenal have reportedly offered €9m to PSG to buy Thilo Kehrer’s contract. Happy in Paris, the German player does not seem in a hurry to leave.

“According to Paris Fans, Arsenal would be interested in the profile of Thilo Kehrer and would have proposed the sum of 9M €. For his part, the 24-year-old is happy in Paris and is in no rush to leave, but he could be pushed towards the exit by his leaders.”
The report also adds that PSG value him for a fee of around €25 million so there’s no way the Parisian side will be ready to strike a deal for less than half of their asking price.
Also, we do not understand why Arsenal are so eager to add another centre-back to the club since they already have players like Gabriel, Rob Holding, Pablo Mari and David Luiz in their first-team squad. Not to mention William Saliba.
Arsenal might not be in Europe next season so we can understand why they are looking for such gamble signings but it would be much more sensible to nurture the talents which they have rather than spending even more money on risky deals in the summer.
