A number of top Premier League clubs have recently shown interest in signing Dani Ceballos from Real Madrid this summer – as per reports.

Ceballos joined the Los Blancos in 2017 from Real Betis and he arrived at the Bernabeu with some real raw potential.

But sadly the midfielder has not been able to live up that hype and last season he managed to make only 23 league appearances for Real Madrid and most of them came off the bench.

Reports have suggested that Zinedine Zidane is planning to sell him off this summer and the likes of Arsenal, Spurs and Liverpool are interested in signing him up.

In an ideal world, all these three clubs would have had a really close fight in order to sign Dani Ceballos but it looks like Arsenal might already have put in the white flag before the race has even begun.

While both Spurs and Liverpool are interested in signing the central midfielder permanently for a transfer fee of around £45 million, the Gunners, on the other hand, have gone out and made a loan offer to Real Madrid.

It’s no secret that Emery has a really tight transfer budget this summer but this is proving a real headache for the Gunners boss when it comes to bringing on key signings.

Arsenal are automatically becoming second favourites in every transfer deal and in case of Dani Ceballos too, they have fallen down the pecking order since Zidane will always try and offload him this summer itself.

Dani Ceballos is of no use to Real Madrid and with the likes of Spurs and Liverpool interested in him, we do not feel the La Liga side would be keen to go into a loan arrangement for the midfielder.

UPDATE:

In another setback for Arsenal as well as Liverpool, AS are reporting that Spurs and Madrid have opened talks regarding the transfer of Dani Ceballos.

The report claims: “Real Madrid have opened negotiations with Tottenham, however not to discuss the transfer of Danish striker Christian Eriksen, but rather that of Dani Ceballos.”

So it looks like even Dani Ceballos is going to slip out of Arsenal’s clutches.
