Arsenal suffer a huge injury blow before their all-important game against Liverpool: How will Unai Emery cope up?

Arsenal take on Liverpool in the Premier League on Saturday and Unai Emery will surely be scratching his head over the fitness of Hector Bellerin.

The Gunners took on Manchester City and Chelsea during the first two weekends of the league and they ended up losing both those encounters. But the London outfit have come a long way since then meaning Liverpool will have a tough task on their hands.

While Unai Emery has most of his first-team players fit and ready for action but right-back Hector Bellerin remains a major doubt for the high profile clash.

Hector Bellerin so far has played eight games in the Premier League but was substituted during last week’s game against Crystal Palace following which the manager confirmed that the Spanish international had sustained a thigh injury.

Hector Bellerin did not feature against Blackpool in midweek for the Carabao Cup clash and recent reports suggest that he remains a doubt for the clash vs Liverpool.

Some sources also claim that Unai Emery has not given up all hopes on the right-back and he will go through a late fitness test in order to determine his availability.

If Hector Bellerin is not available then Stephan Lichtsteiner will take his place at right-back much like the game against Blackpool.

And this could be a serious issue for Unai Emery given the 34-year-old will be up against Sadio Mane who plays down the left flank.

If Arsenal manage to beat Liverpool on Saturday then they will move in within one point of Jurgen Klopp’s men and also inflict Liverpool’s first defeat of the season.
