Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United have long been in the pursuit of Real Madrid central midfielder Dani Ceballos.

And now it looks like Arsenal have also joined the race to sign the highly rated 22-year-old.

Ceballos joined Real Madrid back in 2017 from Real Betis and back then the Bernabeu outfit had so much faith on the player’s talent that they decided to add a £450 million transfer clause in his contract – reportedly.

But now, Real are willing to let him leave for a transfer fee of around £45 million which has drawn in attention from a number of Premier League clubs.

Both Spurs and West Ham United are in need of midfielders and the London outfits are reportedly keen to add Ceballos amongst their ranks.

A couple of days ago, it was reported that AC Milan had held talks with Real Madrid over the transfer of the midfielder but still major publications in Spain suggest that the player will likely join a Premier League club.

And now it is being suggested that Arsenal too have joined the race to sign the midfielder as a long-term replacement for Aaron Ramsey.

Aaron Ramsey joined Juventus as a free agent this month which means the Gunners will have to pay out of their own pockets to sign a replacement.

While reports suggest that Emery is will to pay Real Madrid their desired transfer fee but if the Gunners cannot pay any more then the Los Blancos might look to add a buy-back clause in the deal.

Arsenal might have rattled Spurs’ and West Ham’s cages in regards to this transfer but both the clubs have certainly not given up hope in the signing of Ceballos just yet.

West Ham United had spent large sums of money last summer and the board is willing to back Pellegrini with funds this time around as well.

This means that putting money on the table should not be a big concern for the London based club.

While Spurs might not be able to match Arsenal and West Ham United in terms of transfer budget but they do have the leverage of Champions League football – something which their London rivals cannot offer.

Having said all this though, some reports have hinted that Dani Ceballos might choose to stay at Real Madrid next season in order to prove his worth to Zinedine Zidane.
