4-2-3-1 Arsenal’s predicted line up vs Leeds United: Zinchenko fit to start?

Arsenal are on a roll this season and after nine matches, they are still sitting at the top of the table. They beat Liverpool last weekend and next up, they head to Elland Road to face Leeds United.

Leeds have picked up just nine points this season and based on recent form, the Gunners are very much the favourites to win on Sunday afternoon. The away side have a margin of just a single point at the top of the table so anything barring a win will allow Man City to overtake them.

Leeds are undefeated in their last five home matches in the Premier League but they are winless in their last five matches across all competitions so they will need a miracle to pick up something from this tie.

After a few experiments, Mikel Arteta seems to have found the key to success but now he must make sure that his players have the confidence to hold onto that top spot throughout the campaign. This one should be an easy win for Arsenal on Sunday and unless the Gunners implode, we don’t see them dropping points.

Arsenal’s team news vs Leeds United:

Zinchenko missed the Liverpool and Bodo/Glint games due to a muscle injury but he’s slowly coming back to full fitness. The left-back is likely to go through a late fitness test and if he is not ready then Tomiyasu will play on that side of defence.

Xhaka and Thomas Partey were both rested for the Europa League game on Thursday night but the pair will come back into midfield, replacing Fabio Vieira and Lokonga.

Elneny is very close to making a comeback but this Sunday’s game will come too early for the Egyptian midfielder.

The best thing Mikel Arteta has done is to find a stable forward line this season and this decision has worked wonders for Arsenal. Martinelli has come off age and along with Saka, they are tormenting defenders this season.

Gabriel Jesus has taken no time to settle down at the Emirates as he’s already scored five and assisted three goals this campaign. He will lead the line with Odegaard playing in the No 10 role.

Arsenal predicted line up vs Leeds United:

Predicted Starting Line up(4-2-3-1): Ramsdale; Saliba, Gabriel, Ben White, Tomiyasu; Partey, Granit Xhaka; Bukayo Saka, Odegaard, Martinelli; Gabriel Jesus.
