Arsenal have hit peak form at the perfect time and thanks to Man United losing to City, the Gunners have been able to enter the top-four of the Premier League table.

They have a few games in hand so Arsenal are very much the favourites to grab that final Champions League spot but the North London side have some tough fixtures coming up so there’s every chance they are going to drop some points.

Next up, Arsenal take on Leicester City and at least on paper, the Foxes have a side that can trouble Mikel Arteta’s team despite the fact that they are not in the brightest of forms. Leicester have lost two and drawn one out of their previous five league matches.

The Gunners, on the other hand, have won 8 of their last 10 matches in the EPL and they are undoubtedly the favourites to win on Sunday as well. The pressure is now on Mikel Arteta’s side to hold onto that fourth spot but since he has only one possible absentee, the manager will be able to name his strongest XI this weekend.

Arsenal’s team news vs Leicester City:

Arsenal have gotten a week-long rest so Mikel Arteta does not need to rest any players but Tomiyasu is still injured and it looks like he won’t be fit in time.

Arteta said in his press conference: “We are still assessing him. We are taking some time to try to protect him and get him in the best and the safest possible way so he can help the team as quick as possible.”

With Tomiyasu missing Cedric Soares will hold onto his place on the right-hand side of defence meaning the back-four won’t be changing.

Xhaka and Thomas Partey have formed the perfect partnership in the middle of the pitch and even Odegaard is coming to life in that No 10 role.

Emile Smith Rowe though has returned to training and he will now be pushing the likes of Odegaard and Martinelli for a start.

The manager updated on Friday: “He went through COVID but he’s feeling good now and he’s had a couple of training sessions.”

We will have to wait and see if ESR will get a start or not but there’s no way Mikel Arteta will be dropping either Bukayo Saka or Lacazette to the bench.

Lacazette has come back to life since Aubameyang’s exit and he is currently the leader in the Arsenal side. The Frenchman racked up two assists in the 3-2 win vs Watford last weekend.

Arsenal predicted line up vs Leicester City:

Predicted Starting Line up(4-2-3-1): Ramsdale; Tierney, Soares, Gabriel, Ben White; Xhaka, Thomas Partey; Odegaard, Martinelli, Bukayo Saka; Lacazette.
