Arsenal were beaten 2-1 at home in the Europa League this week by Eintracht Frankfurt meaning the Gunners are now winless in their last six matches across all competitions.

And with such a terrible form, they will now have to hit the road in the Premier League as they take on Norwich City at Carrow Road on Sunday.

The Canaries are on a similar run as the Gunners, having won just one out of their last five league matches but this lone win came just last weekend against Everton meaning their confidence will be soaring high.

Right now Norwich are in the relegation zone meaning Arsenal shouldn’t have any major worries in picking up all the three points on Sunday but given the way they have been performing lately, it seems like the next defeat is just around the corner for the Emirates outfit.

Arsenal news vs Norwich:

The Arsenal manager has been using a three-man backline this season but the Gunners might go for a conventional four-man defence on Sunday due to the injury sustained by David Luiz.

The defender picked up a chest injury in midweek vs Frankfurt and remains a doubt for the weekend’s game at Carrow Road.

In the absence of Luiz, Sokratis will pair up with Callum Chambers in central defence while Hector Bellerin and youngster Kieran Tierney play as the two full-backs.

Granit Xhaka returned to the first XI in midweek and had a more than a decent game. Normally he isn’t expected to play any part vs Norwich but if the Gunners see a change in formation they surely the midfielder will get a start on Sunday

The Arsenal manager is likely to go with the pairing of Lucas Torreira and Matteo Guendouzi in central midfield while Mesut Ozil plays in a more advanced role.

While the German hasn’t featured too much this season but during the past couple of weeks, he’s been getting more game time in the absence of Dani Ceballos who will only return back from his injury sometime in mid-December.

Alexandre Lacazette was an unused substitute during the Europa League game on Thursday but the Frenchman is expected to start upfront on Sunday at Carrow Road.

Aubameyang got the only goal of the match vs Eintracht and the Gabon international should start alongside his strike partner Lacazette.

Arsenal’s predicted line-up vs Norwich:

Starting XI: Bernd Leno; Tierney, Bellerin, Callum Chambers, Sokratis; Granit Xhaka, Matteo Guendouzi, Lucas Torreira; Mesut Ozil, Auabmeyang, Lacazette.

Note: This predicted line-up was compiled before Arsenal had confirmed the sacking of Unai Emery.
