Arsenal have most certainly fallen out of the Premier League title race and now the only thing they can do is to delay Man City’s crowning.

City need just one win from the remaining fixtures to become the champions so if the Gunners lose to Nottingham Forest this weekend, then Manchester City will automatically be declared the champions.

Forest are 16th on the league table but they can still be relegated which is why Arsenal won’t expect this weekend’s encounter to be a walk in the park. Also, Forest head into this match on the back of two great results, first the win over Southampton and then the 2-2 draw vs Chelsea.

Arsenal looked completely distraught after losing to Brighton but they will have to pull themselves back up and win on Saturday just to make sure that Manchester City have to pick up three points when they face Chelsea on Sunday.

Arsenal’s team news and injuries:

Oleksandr Zinchenko’s season is over after picking up a calf injury so Kieran Tierney is going to play as the first-choice left-back in the remaining two games.

William Saliba’s injury has been the crumbling point for Arsenal because ever since Saliba picked up that back injury, the Gunners haven’t looked so sure in defence. He’s still out which means Kiwior is going to start.

Jorginho ran the show in the Newcastle United win but against Brighton, the Italian was once again his average self. Mikel Arteta will waste no time sending him back to the bench and relying on Thomas Partey.

Gabriel Martinelli picked up an ankle injury last weekend and as per the latest reports, the winger has sustained ligament damage which means his season is over. Martinelli’s injury means Leandro Trossard will come back into the starting line up and play on the left wing.
