Unai Emery is under tremendous pressure at Arsenal as his team dropped points once again this time drawing against Southampton on Saturday.

The Gunners were, in fact, lucky to even pick up a point since the Saints could have easily wrapped up the game with three or four goals on the night.

After the final whistle, the Arsenal players were booed off the pitch and now almost every fan wants Unai Emery to be sacked with immediate effect.

A couple of weeks ago, Arsenal’s head of football Raul Sanllehi and Edu had chosen to stand by their manager but it seems after the Saints game, the board is not too keen to keep the Spaniard at the club any more.

They had told the Arsenal staff: “We are as disappointed as everyone else with both our results and performances at this stage of the season.

“We share the frustration with our fans, Unai, players and all our staff as they are not at the level we want or expect.

“Things need to improve to meet our objectives for the season, and we firmly believe Unai is the right man for the job, together with the backroom team we have in place.”We are all working intensively behind the scenes to turn things around and are confident we will.

“We never take our fantastic support for granted. We hope we can all stick together and get behind the team in this challenging period, as together we are stronger.”

As per reports, the Arsenal boss wants Unai Emery out of the club but it’s Raul Sanllehi and Edu who want to keep him, atleast until the end of the season.

But now the rumours are growing and three names have come to the forefront of managers who are the favourites to replace Unai Emery at Arsenal.

The first name is obviously that of Mauricio Pochettino who was recently sacked by Tottenham Hotspur.

While there have been doubts whether the South American will take of Spurs’ North London rivals but with the manager itching to get back into management, it wouldn’t come as a surprise if Poch chooses to sell his soul to the devil and take the job at Emirates.

Max Allegri is another man who is on the list of managers who are likely to replace Emery as the former Juventus manager is currently without a job after he parted ways with the Turin based outfit.

And the third person whose name is being echoed is that of former Gunner Mikel Arteta.

Arteta spent five years with Arsenal in the Premier League and he is very much adored by the Emirates faithful. Right now he is the assistant manager at Manchester City under Pep Guardiola and many feel its time for him to move into a more senior role.

Arteta is without a doubt the most inexperienced man in this list but the Spaniard has been working with Guardiola since 2016 and has surely learned a thing or two about playing the Guardiola way.
