Arsenal have been trying to sign Kieran Tierney for some time now but it looks like the Gunners could now shift their focus to Ricardo Rodriguez.

Ricardo Rodriguez joined AC Milan in 2017 from Wolfsburg and last season, the left-back featured in 35 Serie A games – assisting just 3 goals.

Last week AC Milan confirmed the signing of Theo Hernandez on a five-year deal meaning Rodriguez could very well be on his way out of the club this summer.

The Swiss international has not made the desired impact at the San Siro last summer and Milan are ready to listen to bids for the left-back – as per the gossip vines in Italy.

Arsenal have so far failed to sign Tierney and rumours have it that Unai Emery might shift his focus to Ricardo Rodriguez and scrap a move for the Celtic youngster.

Up until now, the Bhoys have been holding out for a transfer fee of around 25 million pounds – an amount which Arsenal so far have refused to pay.

And now it is being claimed that the Gunners can sign Ricardo Rodriguez for a fee of just 14 million pounds.

Arsenal are working on a very small transfer budget this summer which means that signing a left-back for 25 million pounds is a very steep transfer for them.

But if the North London side do shift their focus to Ricardo Rodriguez then it will be a huge setback for Celtic since no other major club have shown interest in signing Kieran Tierney this summer.

While Napoli have been linked with the youngster but till date, the Serie A side have not made an official approach. Whereas, the Gunners have already seen a bid being rejected.

Some experts believe that the Ricardo Rodriguez situation has changed the whole dynamic and if Celtic do not budge from their demands then Arsenal will not think twice before ditching the pursuit of Kieran Tierney and going after the AC Milan man.
