Arsenal are inching closer to signing Denis Suarez from Barcelona.

A number of top European clubs were interested in signing the midfielder but reports have it that the 25-year-old has chosen Arsenal after having a chat with Unai Emery.

This makes perfect sense since both of them know each other during their time at Sevilla.

But now reports are suggesting that the deal could take longer than expected due to a disagreement between Arsenal and Barcelona.

As things stand, Arsenal are only looking to bring in Denis Suarez on a six-month loan deal but Barcelona want to offload him permanently.

Spanish football expert, Guillem Balague is claiming that Barcelona want to sell the midfielder off permanently or they want Arsenal to take him on loan and the contract should have an obligation to buy at the end of the season.

We still have to wait and see what Arsenal have to say in response but we feel that the problem might be created by the Arsenal management.

If given a choice, we are sure that Unai Emery would love to bring Denis Suarez on permanently but the manager has been tied down by his board.

With all the injured defenders, the club still needs to buy a centre-back and the management would not want to spend unneccessary money on Denis Suarez.

TransferMarkt values Denis Suarez at 12 million euros and to be very honest that would really be a big amount to spend on a player who has played 17 minutes of football in the La Liga.

Having said that though, a loan deal deal with an obligation to buy at the end of the season would make much more sense for both parties.
