Man United are looking to make a move for Leicester City left-back Ben Chilwell who also happens to be on Chelsea’s transfer radar, as per the Mirror.

The report claims: “Chelsea boss Frank Lampard is determined to add England left-back Chilwell to his squad for next term.

“But Stamford Bridge officials were stunned to be told City value Chilwell,23, in the same bracket as Harry Maguire.

“Chelsea have suggested a much lower offer for Chilwell in initial talks so far and are reluctant to bid much more.

“But other top clubs in the Champions League, including United, are also monitoring the defender’s future.”

Are Man United really serious about Ben Chilwell?

Chelsea are said to be the front runners in signing Ben Chilwell from Leicester but the entry of Manchester United will surely cause a bit of worry in the Blues camp.

While Man United do have the financial power to sign the 23-year-old but we do not think Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is serious about bringing him on board – for two major reasons.

Firstly, Luke Shaw has done brilliantly in that role since the resumption and the manager also has the ideal backup in the form of young Brandon Williams.

Second and perhaps most importantly, the left-back area is of the least worry for the Man United boss right now and he will certainly not want to spend 80 odd million pounds on Ben Chilwell when the club are yet to make any other signings this summer.
