Bernd Leno was one of the best players for Arsenal when the Gunners beat Man United 2-0 in the Premier League last weekend.

The Gunners No 1 made a number of crucial saves which helped Arsenal inflict Man United’s first league defeat under Solskjaer’s reign.

And speaking after the match, Bernd Leno revealed the reason which sparked an extra motivation amongst the Arsenal players.

According to Bernd Leno, Jesse Lingard’s dance celebrations at the Emirates a couple of months ago really urged him and his teammates to give their 100 per cent last Sunday.

“I don’t know but in your mind, you will never forget something like that, when somebody is celebrating,” Leno said.

“In your mind, you will never forget something like that, when somebody is celebrating.”

“You don’t want to see it again so we were motivated and we knew before the game about our chance because Man United had one point than us.

“Now we have two points and that was enough motivation for us. We are in the top four and the other teams now wait for our mistakes.

“There are still eight games and we want to win every game but we have to focus on each one because the other teams will wait for small mistakes.

“We don’t play against the other top six teams so I think we can beat the others. The next game is against Newcastle at home and it is an opportunity to win and stay in the top four.”

Bernd Leno endured a tough couple of weeks during the start of the season but slowly, he has taken over the No 1 spot from Petr Cech and right now the 27-year-old is the undisputed first-choice keeper for Unai Emery.
