When last summer the likes of Neymar and Kylian Mbappe moved to PSG everyone thought that it could not get any bigger than this.
But this summer transfer window has surely outdone the previous one especially with Cristiano Ronaldo moving to Juventus from Real Madrid.
And now The CIES Football Observatory have released a report showing the best transfers of the summer.
CIES uses a special algorithm to determine the transfers which have gained the best values for the buying clubs.
The algorithm determines a base price for each player which is then compared to the actual transfer price.
And using that method the best transfer during the summer transfer window is that of Thibaut Courtois who moved from Chelsea to Real Madrid.
Courtois had a fair price of €62.6 million while Real Madrid paid only €40 million for the player’s services – meaning Florentino Perez actually paid €22.6 million less for one of the best keepers in the world.
Surprisingly Cristiano Ronaldo also features on the table as Juventus have paid €11 million less for the Portuguese superstar.
Which the likes of Barcelona and Atletico Madrid all featuring in the top 15, Liverpool are the only Premier League team who feature multiple times on the list.
The likes of Man City and Man United do not feature on the list.
Here’s the top 15 list:
