SPFL Celtic FC Scottish Premiership

Rangers FC will take on Aberdeen while Celtic host Hearts in the Betfred Cup semi-finals later this month.

Up until now, both these matches were scheduled to be played at Hampden Park but now Aberdeen and Hearts are lobbying for the matches to be played in two venues and not just one.

Both the Betfred Cup semi-finals were scheduled to be played back-to-back at Hampden but now it seems that the Celtic vs Hearts game might be shifted to the BT Murrayfield, the home of Scottish Rugby.

Hearts want to play their game at Murrayfield and this situation has been heightened more by the fact that the police have raised concerns over the hosting of two high profile games on the same day.

It is being believed that Hearts and Aberdeen are jointly putting pressure on the organization to move one of the Betfred Cup semi-finals to Murrayfield and this has prompted the League officials to rethink the whole situation.

The Ruby Union though are a bit sceptical about hosting a game in such short notice while Celtic FC have made it clear that if one of the Betfred Cup semi-finals are being shifted to Murrayfield then the would want a draw to decide which game moves out of Hampden Park.
