Liverpool and Spurs will play out an all-English final in the Champions League at the Metropolitano next month.

And the Reds, in particular, have a shot at redemption after narrowly missing out on the UCL trophy last year.

Last season, Jurgen Klopp’s men were beaten by Real Madrid in the final but the Anfield outfit have since bounced back to make themselves a stronger side.

This naturally means that Liverpool will be the favourites going into this year’s Champions League final but according to Sadio Mane, the two finalists have one thing in common.

“We have some experience about it and we know how it is because we were there last year and were unlucky we didn’t win, although Real were very good,” he told Liverpoolfc.com(as reported)

“We are feeling really, really positive and for us, it would be a big, big thing.

“Tottenham and ourselves are both really young, but we both have lots of experience and have played every kind of game.

“It is exciting and we want to win it, for sure – everybody knows. We’re not here to think twice about it, we’re just going to go there to try to win it.”

The fact that both teams have been trophyless for a really long time will mean that both the manager will be more than ready to throw the kitchen sink if required.

And given the fact that both Liverpool and Spurs are known for playing fearless football, we have serious doubts whether the two managers will set up their teams too defensively.

The Champions League final will surely be a very balanced encounter but still, most of the fans and pundits are putting their money on Liverpool instead of Spurs.
