Bayern Munich right-back Rafinha has revealed that he rejected a string of Premier League and La Liga clubs in order stay with the Bavarian giants.
The Brazilian joined Bayern back in 2011 from Genoa and since then he has gone on to make over 200 appearances for the club.
The right-back wants to stay with the Bundesliga Champions for a long time and hence he rejected a series of clubs during the summer transfer window. According to reports, Chelsea tried to sign the player on the transfer deadline day but the 32-year-old rejected a move to Stamford Bridge and that is why the Blues chose to sign Davide Zappacosta as an alternative.
While speaking to Sports Bild, Rafinha said, “Bayern’s bosses know I already had offers from England and Spain before the season started. I have Bayern in my heart and I always give 100 per cent, they can always count on me.”
Rafina went on to express that if he doesn’t get playing-time, he will choose his future himself as he concluded, “Therefore, I think those responsible understand that I really want to play, otherwise I will have to think about my future.”
