Manchester United finally managed to bring in Bruno Fernandes during the January transfer window and the Portuguese has had an instant impact at the club during the past couple of weeks.

So far, the playmaker has played in 5 Premier League and has managed to score two goals and provide 3 assists. And on Sunday, he was once again the star of the show as Manchester United beat City 2-0 at Old Trafford.

Speaking about Bruno Fernandes after the win, even Solskjaer seemed to admit that the new arrival has changed the mood around the club.

The boss said, as quoted: “The whole club [has been lifted]. Because he has everything I spoke about.

“He works hard, he is humble enough, he’s got the desire and commitment, but he’s also got the X-factor.

“He is a risk-taker, he’s got the courage to make mistakes and if you make enough mistakes it’ll be corrected into fantastic assists or goals.

“You need a character here, you need character at this club, but this team they have got that.

“They have learned through some hard times this season because we have been a young team and we have started something we believe in and Bruno has helped that.”

Right now, it seems Bruno Fernandes can do no wrong but it seems Luke Shaw has something to worry about regarding the playmaker’s style.

The full-back said: “At times we know he’s going to lose possession, but we need them sort of risk passes that are going to unlock defences.

“He’s been a brilliant signing so far and he’s already come in with a few assists and a few important goals.

“We will keep pushing the standards and we’ll keep pushing him because there’s so much more from him to come.”

Bruno Fernandes – a willing runner?

Bruno Fernandes has taken to life in England like a duck in water and he’s the creative spark that Man United had been waiting for so long.

But surely players like Matic and the defenders will have to provide adequate cover to the player since he’s always looking to make forward passes as well as runs.

While Luke Shaw seems to see and understand the flip side of the coin pretty well but from the first few matches which we have seen, Bruno Fernandes seems a willing running who is always ready to help out in defence whenever Man United lose possession.
