Alexis Sanchez seems to be a forgotten man at Manchester United right now but according to Paul Ince, the Chilean could still revive his career next season.

According to the former Man United man, this will be a make or break season for the forward after Ole Gunnar Solskjaer hinted that Alexis Sanchez will be returning back to Manchester United at the end of the current season.

Ince told Paddy Power: “I wouldn’t rule out Sanchez going back to United and being a key part of their team next season. Football is a funny old game.

“I’ve been in the situation as a manager where I’ve thought ‘right, I’m going to get rid of him and him’ but when it comes to it you can’t get the deal done, so they stay at the club.

“Then pre-season comes around and they’re a totally different player to the season before, and they’re your key man the next season. So Sanchez could definitely go back to United, look fantastic in training, and bang suddenly he’s important to their plans after all.

“This is a make or break summer for Alexis. He’s had two moves in a row that have really not gone well. He’s had two seasons of just not playing. Your career goes by so fast, you can’t waste it like that.

“If someone can get him in and play him in the right position, you’ve still got a great player in there.”

Can Alexis Sanchez revive his career at Man United?

This season, the 31-year-old has played in only 9 Serie A games for Inter Milan and it’s for certain that the Italian will not be signing him permanently in the summer.

And while Ole has hinted that Sanchez can still find a place at Manchester United, we think the manager will be desperate to sell him off and free up the wage bills.

Another big reason why Alexis Sanchez has no place at OT since he plays down the left flank – a position where Marcus Rashford has done brilliantly this season.

Right now Rashford is out injured but once he is fit, the England international will be an automatic choice on the left-hand side meaning the Chilean will once again be playing second fiddle.
