Alexandre Lacazette - Arsenal

Sevilla have valued their Moroccan forward Youssef En-Nesyri at around £38 million and this huge price tag seems to be the major cause of concern for Arsenal right now.

The Gunners have been keeping tabs on the 24-year-old for some time now and as per the reports, they will try and make a move for him during the January transfer window.

It will be really hard for Arsenal to pay £38 million for one single player during the middle of the season which is why they are planning to sweeten the deal by offering Alexandre Lacazette to Sevilla.

Express cites the Spanish report: “Spanish outlet La Razon say Arsenal are the latest club to closely keep tabs on En-Nesyri, and the Gunners are reportedly considering offering Lacazette to make the fee cheaper.

“With his contract set to expire at the end of the season, Lacazette could be offloaded in January to avoid the Frenchman from departing for free at the end of June.

“Lacazette will be free to negotiate a potential pre-contract with clubs from January onwards should he wish to do so.”

Will Lacazette leave Arsenal and join Sevilla in January?

Lacazette has clearly fallen down the pecking order at Arsenal this season, having played only 31 minutes in the Premier League so far. And things are clearly not going to get any better for him as the months roll along.

Moving to a club like Sevilla might help revive his career but his current deal with the Gunners expires next summer so we don’t see why he will agree to be part of a cash plus player deal just a few months prior to that.

The Frenchman could wait only a few more months and leave Arsenal as a free agent, something which will help him get more wages at his new club.

En-Nesyri has really impressed during his time at Sevilla so the Spanish side have every right to quote such a high fee for him. But we don’t see Alexandre Lacazette being part of this arrangement that too during the month when he will be free to negotiate a potential pre-contract with the interested clubs.
