Chelsea will take on Liverpool in the Premier League this weekend and almost everyone is banking on the Blues to cause an upset.

The odds are most certainly stacked in favour of Liverpool but history is proof that Chelsea have managed to spoil the Liverpool party once before back in 2014.

Liverpool were oh so close to winning their first Premier League title during the 2013-14 season but then that in-famous Steven Gerrard slip helped Jose Mourinho’s men clinch a 2-0 win at Anfield.

And Chelsea full-back Cesar Azpilicueta believes that they can repeat that same upset on Sunday too.

‘We enjoyed that day and hopefully, we can replicate it on Sunday,’ he told Sky Sports(as reported by the Metro).

‘It’s not about frustrating Liverpool, it’s about playing our game. We know they are fighting for the title but for us, every point is very important for the top four. It’s an important game.

‘We know we’re going to play a very strong side, but first of all, we need to keep the solidity that we’ve shown in the last games, and defend very well as a team because they are a big threat.

‘And if we take our chances, I think we’ve proved ourselves already this season when we won (2-1) in the League Cup. I think it’s a big game, and everyone’s looking forward to it.’

While Azpilicueta’s claim is pretty bold but we must admit that this time around Liverpool are a much stronger side and they have hardly faltered during the course of the season.

Liverpool have lost just a single game this season in the Premier League and the Blues will indeed have to dig deep if they wish to pick up all three points at Anfield on Sunday.
