Arsenal are desperate to get rid of Nicolas Pepe and according to journalist Dean Jones, they are pulling all the strings to send him out in the next 30 days.

Pepe has been linked with several European clubs this summer but right now there’s nothing concrete which is why the Gunners are looking to accelerate his exit by trying to find him a suitable destination.

Jones told GiveMeSport: “They’re [Arsenal] trying to find a place for him, basically. There’s intermediaries working on it.

“At the moment, there hasn’t really been any nibbles. Arsenal and the player’s agents are trying to find a club that are genuinely interested in him at a certain level.

“I think that’s been really hard. He has got clubs that are interested, but aren’t at the level that Nicolas Pepe wants to be performing.”

Will Arsenal be able to get rid of Nicolas Pepe?

Arsenal spent a whopping £72 million on Nicolas Pepe but he’s been one of the biggest Premier League flops in recent memory.

Since joining in 2019, he’s played in only 112 games for the club, scoring just 27 goals. Now, with the arrival of Gabriel Jesus, Mikel Arteta has no need of Pepe which is why he’s probably asked Edu to get rid of him asap.

A few Spanish and French clubs have shown an interest in the winger but as per reports, Newcastle United might be his most realistic destination next season.

The Magpies have also been linked with the Ivorian international and as per the gossip, Nicolas Pepe is also willing to join them in order to prove his worth.

It’s still unsure if Newcastle(or any other club) are going to make any moves in the coming month but since Arsenal are desperate to part ways with him, the winger is likely to be available at a bargain deal.

He has two years left on his contract but his current market value is just £22.5 million which means a fee of around £15-20 million could realistically activate a sale.
