Whether you agree with us or not but Alfredo Morelos is the bad boy of the SPFL.

Morelos has that mean streak in him which sometimes makes him react in rather uncivilised fashion.

From hastening into harsh tackles to ‘settling scores’ with opponents, Alfredo Morelos is a striker who does not always play by the rule books.

While some Rangers FC defend these actions claiming it to be pure passion but even they would agree that such rash behaviours have often cost their team.

This time though, the SFA seems to have gone easy on Alfredo Morelos for his actions during the Old Firm Derby.

Morelos had aimed a kick at Celtic captain Scott Brown while he also caught full-back Anthony Ralston with his studs.

And the Hoops were hoping that the SFA would take strict action against the Colombian.

Oddly enough though, the Football Association has examined this whole incident and chosen not to take any further action which have infuriated Celtic.

Celtic FC released a statement regarding the whole shady decision making against Alfredo Morelos and it read:

“Celtic Football Club is surprised that there will be no disciplinary action taken by the Scottish FA regarding the incidents during the match on December 29, which have been widely addressed in the media.

“It is reported that no action was taken because the match referee saw all of the incidents in question.

“Given that the referee took no action at the time, this tends to suggest that such conduct, which in one instance led to a Celtic player, Anthony Ralston, being injured, is acceptable in Scottish football. That cannot be right.

“On the day, Celtic did not play well enough to win the match, something we accept. However, this issue goes beyond the result of the match.

“In the meantime, we have requested a meeting with Scottish FA Chief Executive, Ian Maxwell, and the Association’s Head of Refereeing.”

Celtic lost the game 1-0 courtesy of a solitary goal from Ryan Jack and many Rangers fans are saying that their arch-rivals have still not been able to digest the year-end loss.
