Celtic FC have wrapped up the Premiership title this season in some style despite some initial pressure from Rangers.

The Hoops have finished 9 points ahead of their Glasgow rivals and this weekend they will have a chance of a domestic clean-sweep when they take on Hearts in the Scottish Cup final.

But despite the stamp of authority this campaign, many pundits have predicted that Rangers will be a force to reckon with next season especially if Gerrard can make a few good signings this summer.

While Rangers are obviously making plans to bring in some fresh faces before the next season but according to former Ger, Charlie Adam, Celtic can very easily outshine their arch-rivals in the transfer market.

Here’s how.

“Rangers have been on a great run recently and I think if you look at Steven [Gerrard] and how he has done this season, he’s done a good job and he’s got a good squad, but he’ll be looking for a better quality next season,” Adam told (as reported).

“I don’t see Rangers bringing seven or eight players in. I can see them bringing in three or four maximum of better quality players that can take Rangers to the next level again and give Celtic a proper challenge.

“Going next season, it’ll be a totally different game from Rangers. They’ll understand how they can play.

“But with Celtic anything can happen with Dermot Desmond’s money.

“He could bring a rabbit out of the hat. They can bring one of the big ones in – whether it’d be a player or manager.

“I think Celtic have a bigger re-building job this summer than Rangers do.”
