Celtic FC won the first Old Firm Derby of the new season beating their Glasgow rivals 1-0 on Sunday.
Before the match, there was much talk about how Rangers were the superior team going into the game especially on the back of their super successful summer transfer window.
But during the 90 minutes at Parkhead, Brendan Rodgers side showed the world that the Light Blues still have a lot of catching up to do.
Celtic outplayed their rivals in almost every department but now their captain Scott Brown has decided to give credit to Rangers where it is due.
Brown has come out and praised Rangers keeper Allan McGregor.
Scott Brown said: “We have got quality all over the park. We believe if we turn up we can beat anyone – especially at Celtic Park. We’ve beaten them here and over at Ibrox. It is about what we do from now on.
“It’s not about Rangers. It’s about how well we play. We played well and could have scored a few more goals had it not been for Allan McGregor – I thought he was terrific today.”

While McGregor was truly outstanding for the Gers on Sunday but there’s no denying that the keeper was a lucky man to stay on the pitch after he lashed out at a Celtic player which went unnoticed.
Speaking after the game, Gerrard said: “I think he has lashed out. Of course, I will speak to him. I am honest. I will tell you what I see. If something is blatant it is blatant.”
