Maurizio Sarri is on the verge of leaving Chelsea and become the next manager at Juventus.

And right now, the Blues are busy finding a replacement for the former Napoli boss.

For some time it was believed that Max Allegri would become the next boss at Stamford Bridge after he recently parted ways with Juventus but it looks like the Italian will not be arriving in England any time soon.

And as per reports, there’s a bizarre reason for that.

As per the TelegraphJuventus are lining up Sarri to succeed Max Allegri who left the club at the end of the season and would like the opportunity to coach in the Premier League. The Chelsea job appeals to Allegri but there is some concern at the club that they do not want to employ a third successive Italian after Antonio Conte and Sarri who joined them from Napoli last summer.”

And now multiple reports are claiming that it will be Frank Lampard who is set to become the new manager at Stamford Bridge this summer and the Blues are set to formally approach Derby County.

The Guardian reports: “Derby County are braced for a formal approach from Chelsea to speak with Frank Lampard following Maurizio Sarri’s departure for Juventus.

“Chelsea will be keen to secure a replacement well before the first senior players return for pre-season training in the first week of July, with Lampard high on their list of candidates.

“Although there are understandable reservations over their record goalscorer’s relative lack of managerial experience – he guided Derby to the Championship play-offs in his first year in the job – there is support within the hierarchy to restore him to a club who, as they operate under a Fifa-imposed transfer ban, could be more reliant upon younger personnel for the foreseeable future.”

Derby County know it for a fact that it will be impossible for them to hold onto Frank Lampard if Chelsea are seriously considering him as a successor to Maurizio Sarri.

So the Championship outfit are planning to charge a hefty compensation in order to release Frank Lampard before the upcoming season.
