According to a report by The Standard, Chelsea have refused to sell striker Armando Broja during the January transfer window.

Fulham have been wanting to land an out-and-out striker and the Cottagers are said to be interested in bringing Broja on board at the start of the new year.

Fulham reportedly want Armando Broja as the long-term replacement for Aleksandar Mitrovic who joined Al-Hilal in the summer but Chelsea have made it clear that the 22-year-old is not up for sale.

Broja is a product of Chelsea’s youth system but despite making his senior debut in 2020, the striker has managed to make only 25 appearances for the Blues so far. This season, he’s started only two Premier League matches and as things stand, he’s not going to be a regular starter under Pochettino any time soon.

It’s Nicolas Jackson who’s leading the line for Chelsea this season and even though the Blues have rejected Fulham’s offer we think there’s a chance the Cottagers could sign Broja in January.

Chelsea are actively searching for a new centre-forward and if they can bring in someone like Victor Osimhen or Ivan Toney during the January transfer window then Pochettino won’t mind cashing in on Armando Broja.

Toney and Osimhen are the two names that are being constantly mentioned amongst the Blues think tank and at least one of them is likely going to land up in the EPL at the start of the new year.

Broja is one of just two strikers in the Chelsea squad right now which is why Poch is not interested in letting him leave but Fulham should not lose hope. The Blues desperately need a world-class striker for the second half of the season and if a new striker is coming in then it’s curtains for Broja’s career at Stamford Bridge.
