Alvaro Morata
Alvaro Morata playing for Chelsea

Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata joined the Blues last summer and immediately had a positive impact on the squad. But as the months rolled by the Spanish International has become a lone figure – so much so that there are now talks that Morata could well be on his way out of the Premier League.

The first half of the 2017-18 season saw Alvaro Morata as the first choice striker for Antonio Conte but ever since Olivier Giroud joined the Blues in the January transfer window, the 25-year-old has fallen down the pecking order.

After Giroud’s arrival from Arsenal, the Frenchman had become the favourite for the Chelsea manager and Morata had to be content with only substitute appearances.

Now there are talks that Alvaro Morata is no longer wanted at Stamford Bridge and wishes to move back to Juventus – a club where he spent two seasons.

And Morata has further fueled his exit rumours by claiming that a move out of west London might very well be on the cards.

Morata said(as reported by Tuttosport): “Juve? Let’s see; for now, I do not know anything about my future.”

Chelsea are in the process of finding a new manager and Morata’s faith at the club will only be decided once the Blues bring in a new boss.

Apart from Juventus, La Liga giants Atletico Madrid have also been linked with the striker and Morata also had a thing or two to say about that.

Morata was quoted as saying: “Chelsea or Atletico? At this moment I am thinking only of holidays.”

The Blues will most likely not part ways with Alvaro Morata after a single season but if the incoming Chelsea manager plans to bring in a new striker then Roman Abramovich will not hesitate to show Morata the exit door.
