Chelsea beat Lille in the Champions League in midweek and next up they take on AFC Bournemouth in the Premier League.

The Blues might have made a superb start to the 2019-20 campaign but during the last couple of weeks, they have seen a dip of form and right now they have only a five-point lead to protect for their European spot.

Chelsea have lost two out of their three Premier League matches and right now there are fears that Bournemouth might also walk out of Stamford Bridge with something.

And speaking to the media, Frank Lampard has revealed what his players must do in order to ensure that they keep pace with their competitors – both in Europe as well as in England.

Lampard said: “We need to take more of our chances. That’s a fact. Because you leave teams slightly in the game.

“They [Lille] probably had two shots at the back-end of the game and one goes in.

“So that was a frustrating thing in a very good performance. I can never doubt that the lads have given everything, but the reality is we need to be better in their box.

“We need to take more of our chances – whether it’s the Premier League or the Champions League.”

Chelsea should pick up an easy win vs the Cherries despite all the fears since Bournemouth have lost each one of their last five league games.

But in case of a catastrophe, it could be serious troubles for Frank Lampard since if Man United and Wolves win their respective league games then they will be within touching distance of them by the end of the weekend.
