Chelsea are slowly picking up their pace in the Premier League and after nine matches, the Blues are 10th on the table with 12 points.

They are on a four-match unbeaten streak at the moment and next up, they welcome Brentford at the Stamford Bridge. The Bees have won just one out of their last five matches and if Chelsea can maintain the same level of intensity with which they played against Arsenal, this one should be a comfortable win for them.

Chelsea played some wonderful football against Arsenal but in the end, they failed to hold onto their lead and those nervy last 15 minutes will be something that Pochettino will be urging his players not to repeat this weekend.

Chelsea’s team news and injury updates:

Players like Fofana, Ben Chilwell, Nkunku and Romeo Lavia are all long-term absentees but Pochettino does have a few positives from the treatment room.

Axel Disasi and Benoit Badiashile both made it to the bench for the Arsenal game and they will now be pushing for starts this weekend. However, only Disasi will come back into central defence alongside Thiago Silva while Badiashile will remain on the bench because he’s yet to feature this season.

Reece James came off the bench last weekend and the right-back will start against the Bees which is going to be a big positive for the Chelsea manager.

Caicedo and Enzo are building up a partnership in central midfield and the pair will continue in the same positions with Conor Gallagher operating in the advanced role.

Cole Palmer and Mudryk both found the back of the net in the draw vs Arsenal so we doubt if the Chelsea manager is going to drop either of them. Armando Broja is back in training and even Nicolas Jackson is fit but we think Pochettino will continue using Raheem Sterling up front.

The centre-forward is not the best position for Sterling but with the England international playing through the middle, it allows Poch to use both Palmer and Mudryk.

Chelsea predicted line up vs Brentford:

Predicted Starting XI(4-2-3-1): Sanchez; Disasi, Thiago Silva, Reece James, Cucurella; Enzo Fernandez, Caicedo; Mudryk, Palmer, Gallagher; Raheem Sterling.
