Chelsea are in shambles this season and they have just sacked Graham Potter. Now to make things tougher, the Blues will face Liverpool.

After a series of disappointing results, Chelsea have shown Potter the door so Bruno Saltor will now be in charge when they welcome Liverpool on Tuesday. The temporary boss is not going to make any wholesome changes but it will be interesting to see how he asks the players to play against a faltering Liverpool side.

Chelsea have drawn their last five matches against Liverpool in all competitions but we are not likely to see a similar result on Tuesday night. The Blues are 12 points away from the fourth position and by now, they will have given up hope of a UCL spot but a win against Liverpool will be a big morale booster ahead of their mega clash against Real Madrid next week.

Chelsea’s injuries and team news:

The injury list is still significant for Chelsea but Raheem Sterling and Wesley Fofana are in line to return to the matchday squad.

If Fofana is fit then he will come back into the starting line up but we don’t think Sterling is going to be lucky enough to get a place in the side.

In a shocking bit of tactic, Potter used Reece James as a centre-back but there’s no way the interim boss is going to use him in the same role.

Thiago Silva, Cesar Azpilicueta, Edouard Mendy and Aubameyang are all going to miss out on Tuesday night.

N’Golo Kante made his first appearance since August when he played 33-odd minutes against Aston Villa and there’s a big chance that he is going to get a starting role against Liverpool.

Mudryk played as the centre-forward against Villa but his place is at risk on Tuesday. Against a team like Liverpool, Saltor will want to add more players in midfield and if our thinking is right then Mudryk will be the one who’s going to be sacrificed.

Chelsea predicted line up vs Liverpool:

Predicted Starting Line up(3-5-2): Kepa; Badiashile, Koulibaly, Fofana; Kovacic, Kante, Chilwell, Reece James, Enzo Fernandes; Joao Felix, Havertz.
