Tammy Abraham Chelsea news

Chelsea drew vs Arsenal in the Premier League this midweek and next up they have a milder encounter in the FA Cup against Hull City.

This 4th round match should not cause too much trouble to the Blues meaning Frank Lampard is expected to make a couple of changes to his starting XI on Saturday.

But having said that, the manager does not have a very big squad and given that he is badly in need of a draw, Lampard might choose to use some of his key players especially in and around the midfield region.

Chelsea team news vs Hull City:

Kepa Arrizabalaga has come under heavy fire during the past couple of weeks and this will be the ideal game for the manager to give him some rest and bring in Caballero as his first choice keeper vs Hull City.

Rudiger has played a large number of games after his return back from injury meaning the Chelsea boss will surely move him to the bench meaning Kurt Zouma will partner Christensen in central defence.

Reece James missed the London Derby with an ankle injury but the youngster is expected to be fit in time to take on Hull City.

Marcos Alonso has played very little football for Chelsea this season but the Spaniard should get a start on Saturday replacing Emerson at left-back.

Jorginho is also expected to be rested meaning finally N’Golo Kante could play in the defensive midfielder’s role but we feel the manager will try and rest both these players which gives Ross Barkley the opportunity to get one more start.

Mason Mount came off the bench vs Arsenal in midweek but the youngster is expected to start in midfield.

Pedro much like Alonso has seen very little first-team action but we expect the Chelsea boss to name him in the first XI against Hull City.

Tammy Abraham suffered an ankle injury in the 2-2 draw with the Gunners and right now he remains a doubt for the FA Cup clash. If he cannot be fit in time, then it will be Michy Batshuayi who will play upfront for Chelsea.
