The Chelsea and Diego Costa situation has been growing murkier with each passing day. Ever since the Spanish International had been outcasted by Antonio Conte, he has gone on to start a rebellion of sorts with the club and its management.

Costa is currently in Brazil where he is training all by himself. The Blues asked Costa to come back to England and join the club but the Spaniard has refused to do that – going on a strike of sorts.

Diego Costa has always maintained that he wishes to go back to his former club Atletico Madrid and that is one of the major reasons why Chelsea have found it really difficult to offload him during the summer. But given the transfer embargo on the La Liga side, it is proving to be quite difficult for Costa to secure a move.

And now reports from England are suggesting that Everton are willing to sign Diego Costa on a short term contract of six months until January- that’s when Atleti will be once again be allowed to do business in the transfer market.

Toffees boss Ronald Koeman had publicly claimed that he is open to signing players for a short span of time given that the player is either young or of exceptional quality.

This statement has created quite a bit of buzz across the footballing world as Chelsea might finally get the opportunity to offload the rebel striker from their squad. If this short term deal happens then it will eventually benefit Diego Costa because the player will not have to sit out for six months in order to join Atleti.
